- I cleaned and lubed the linkage that the throttle cable is attached to. The Blazer speed still increases when i take my foot off the pedal and I start to coast. I also noticed that when i start off the idle is low and it increases withe time . I am checking the idle air control valve today to see if it is functioning properly.Clarification Request

That's good you are cleaning the Idle Air Control Valve because that was my next suggestion. Good luck and lemme know how it works.

Have you cleaned the throttle blade with carb. clean or lubed the throttle linkage?
