Question about 2002 Ford ZX2
The battery light in my 2002 ford zx2 keeps faintly trying to come on when I slow my car down or brake. When I drive at speeds over 30, the light goes off. My car lights seem okay, but my windshield wipers have lost their some of their power. Before I buy an alternator, I'd like to weight my options of what else could be the problem... Any guesses?
Check the connections to the alternator and battery, make sure they are good and tight, also check to see if the connector on the alternator is ok, disconnect it and look at the terminals inside the connector, if any look spread too far apart, use a small pointed object and push the terminal back together so it contacts the pins tightly again
