Question about 2005 GMC Sierra

1 Answer

2006 GMS Sierra Z-71

Something similar, the chime on my truck works some days and not on others, and on the days it doesn't work I also notice the drivers side front door speaker doesn't work??? I'm at a loss. Don't know where to begin trying to fix this since it's a off and on situation? When the chime suddenly works, so does the speaker??

Run the wires direct to the speaker is the answer ,must use a module ,my way to overcome this without paying silly money to a dealer fitter **** with neoprene gloves on and white coat who thinks he knows it all, is a back to basics and run my own wires and by pass the on board computer

Blower stopped working on the heat in my 1996 GMC Sierra. was working just fine and then just stopped.

Check under your hood and there should be fuses one should say blower fan or something of that sort. I use a chimeing voltometer to check my fuses. If there is a chime then it is good you can also use the old fashion light up fuse checker. Hoe this hellps

Brake chime

"Service brakes" usually comes on when the pads are getting low. You want to change the pads before you notice the brakes don't feel right. Could also be that the brake fluid is low. Definately get it checked ASAP, brakes are important and you want them in good shape. So you can stop.

The heater fan on my 2006 GMC Sierra only blows to defrost. Directional control switch doesn't change it.

Most likely is your blend door is faulty (bad motor/broken tab?).
Defrost is the idle possition ( as it is the most important).
You may have a disconnected vacuum hose from the climate controle panel if you recently (ever?) had work done in the dash area...
But my suspicion is the blend door motor...

2006 Sierra-no warning chime

There is not a Fuse for this. Look at the Panel under the Dash on the Drivers Side. At the top there are 2 Boxes or Cicles. The one on the Left should be the Buzzer Relay Box.
