When turn key on starter makes atinney sound does not engage flywheel

if your battery is low on charge or you have to jump it off it may already be engaged and stuck in flywheel try turning motor by hand back and forth listen if you hear it pop out then try to start with good battery if doesnt work replace starter it could be the selinoid switch but you have to pull starter anyway so just replace all of it

P0335 hard starting

that trouble code indicates that crankshaft position sensor circuit has a fault.
check that the 3 wires on the sensor are in tact and area around it is free of oil and deposits
it that doesnt work then you will need a new sensor

92 exploer out a new selonoied under hood before that it just click now it starts sometime it still clicks if you jump the 2 termanals on senolied it starts i was doing that today now it has no power...

Sounds like you blew a major fuse and also check the seloniod terminals the wires on one side have fusible link wire make sure there not blown, the fuse box under the hood is where i would check for blown fuses, the starter maybe bad and drawing alot of amps, you may have cooked the new seloniod, i would test for power at the selinoid if there power to it then its bad, the most common reason for a seliniod top go bad is a bad starter, hope this helps

My battery died & I replaced it. It was running fine before the battery died & now it tries to start, but won't. Any advice on what it could be?

take your starter off and have it tested, there is a selinoid in the starter that pushes a gear onto your torque converter from the starter. Thats what turn your engine before fire. Sometimes that needs replaced. It costs the same to replace the starter as it does the starter selinoid. Also check your fuel pump - if its broke you don't get gas to engine. also look at your fuel filters, sometimes there are 2 - if one is gummed up you may not be getting fuel to engine. There is a whole list of probibals

1997 t-bird clicks when trying to start replaced

The starter selinoid is on top of the starter. This engages the starter when you turn the car over. Did the starter you bought have a selinoid on it?

Clicking sound when trying to start

the clicking sound may be the sound of a bad starter or the battery doesnt have enough juice to start the truck try giving a jump start first if that does not work try hitting the starter with a hammer a few times to see if it starts if it does this is a starter problem.if no start check and see if there is power athe possitive wire when trying to start it. because this is an older truck you can check for powere at the solenoid on the fender

How to change starter selinoid

the starter selinoid is on the starter itself. normally a parts dealer will never seel you a starter selinoid individually but they will sell the starter with the selinoid. but you cant change the selinoid without changing the starter
