Question about 1992 Honda Accord
I am having a problem with my honda accord ex 1992
It use to do this once in a while but now does it all the time
when I try and start the car it will crank but not turn over and start with the D4 blinking... If I disconnect the battery cable and reset the computer and wait about 5 mins I can get it to start but driving it while the D4 is blinking the car hesitates and takes a while to get up to speed..I am going to try and put a new Tcu in it and I am hoping that will resolve the problem..I am wondering if driving it while the D4 is blinking is doing any damage to the car..It use to be if I turned the car off and restarted it the D4 would stop blinking and the car ran perfectly fine..It is just now that it does it all the time..Please some help and answers would be Greatly Appreciated..Thank You Very Much..

My 92 does the same thing. I beleive its in the ignition. I had to replace the distributor twice. Honda thru 95 had weak distributors also the fuel pump and injectors are getting weak.

it is the Transmission Control Unit. you have to find the reason why the TCU is flashing the D4 fault code. not replace the unit. have your vehicle scanned for another code. your transmission or transaxle is giving you a warning that something is wrong .
