I CAREFULLY REMOVED THE PANEL, THE SPEAKER, TAKING PHOTOS ALONG THE WAY (INCLUDING PHOTOS INSIDE THE DOOR WHERE I COULD NOT SEE), AND EVENTUALLY REMOVED THE TRACK WITH THE MOTOR AND CABLE. i FOUND THE PLASTIC MOUNT FOR THE UPPER CABLE BROKEN. AFTER MUCH STUDYING I FOUND THE CABLE SNAGGED ON THE REEL. I CLEARED THE SNAG AND LUBED THE REEL. I DRILLED A HOLE TO ACCEPT THE CABLE END AT ABOUT THE RIGHT DISTANCE , INSERTED A SCREW AND EPOXIED THE SCREW AND END IN POSITION, I HUNG THE ASSEMBLY ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE DOOR , PLUGGED THE SWITCH IN AND TURNED THE CAR ON -- THE TRACK WORKED PERFECT. I REPLACED ALL COMPONENTS, ATTACHED THE WINDOW, REPLACED THE PLASTIC REATTACHED THE LINKAGES TO THE LOCK AND DOOR OPENER. WORKS GREAT. SAVED SEVERAL HUNDRED DOLLARS FOR THE COST OF A COUPLE OF HOURS AND A SCREW AND JB WELD EPOXY.MEMBRANE, REINSTALLEED THE SPEAKER, 2002 Jeep Cherokee Rear Passenger Side Window Slid - 8f290b9.jpgf4a65ed.jpg

Check wiring harness in between door and body, most likley there is a broken wire in this harness.
To get the window up you will need to remove the panel and apply a power and ground direcly to the moter connector. if it does not go up then reverse the polarity

How do i dissasemble the passenger side door pannel? the window will not go up or down. i think its off the track

You need to buy a window regulator and motor assembly and replace the unit as a whole. The plastic slides wear out or the plastic ends break off the electric motor cables. A new regulator and motor is around $100 at the auto parts stores. If you pay to have it fixed it is around $350.00

I have the exact same problem on a Jeep Grand Cherokee 2004. The rear passenger window rolls down only from the rear passenger window and won't go up or down from the front. It has to be in the wiring because the problem was intermittent initially and a new window motor does the exact same thing. If you figured it out or have the wiring diagram please let me know.

Passanger side window went down and won't come back up.

I had both window regulators die in my 2002 Jeep grand Cherokee, once while i was operating the automatic driver's side window and another time the passenger side just dropped down and stayed there while it was parked at work and I came out to no window. The Dealership charged $200 to fix it. Ouch.
