You have to take off a couple of screws. A couple located by the handle and one located behind the door handle. After those you should be able to pull the panel off, careful to not break the tabs that its connected by all around the door.

What you need to do first is remove your inner door panel. After you have the panel removed operate the window and make sure that none of the window tracks are loose, broken, or out of adjustment. This is your most likely cause of your problem. A slight buckle in the panel may help the problem but, I don't think it is your main problem. Check the tracks and adjustments.

They get sluggish over time. If you remove them, clean them, and grease them with a light grease; you can probably get them to work again. Ibet they work better when the car is funning, as the voltage is higher from the alternator as compared to the battery.
As for yhe window, you might try some window track lubrication in the tracks. The motor may also be getting tired.

2003 honda civic driver side window fall down

I am guessing you have power windows. Happens to mine sometimes.
Slam the door a couple to few times, see if that doesn't put the window back on "track". I mentioned this to the dealership a while back and they were going to charge about $90 to pop off the interior part of the door and put it back on track. They said it "builds up dirt".
I actually also toggle the window switch a few times to see if it will move slightly and then do my door slam thing a couple to few times. I seem to get this problem when it rains.
I hope it helps.

this is from a 97 civic should be the same. remove the door panel. remove 1 screw and pull handle, remove 1 screw and plastic cover over door opener handle. remove speaker cover and three screws underneath. remover window crank. then remove the door panel (held on with plastic plugs...just pull panel toward youself).

to remove the regulator ("window crank gears") Remove the glass held in with two 10mm bolts. The regulator itself is held in with six 10mm bolts. Remove these bolts and remove the regulator. (installation is reverse). Note: pay attention to the Idler arm track (highlighted in green) I think this one is directional (the front has to be at the front and the back has to be at the rear)

Model=CIVIC SIR. drivers electric window only goes up 1/2 way

your window has likely jumped its track......you will need to remove the door panel and inspect it further. you will find this procedure here. If it has jumped the track you should be able to get it back on with the door panel removed.
Hope this helps!

Window jumped off window track

drivers window?
the best way to fix it is to replace the window run channel (rubber the glass slides in) and the regulator. or to get by if the regulator isnt bent take the door panel off, take the door glass out, the front of the run channel inside the door is bent foreward a little bend the metal track to the rear a little by hand, careful its weak, spray the run channel with silicone spray and reinstall the glass. if the run channel is torn it wont last.

Window off Track 2000 honda civic

My 2000 Honda has done it about 5 times. You can fix it fairly easy at home but unfortunately it will keep occuring until you replace the whole lifting system which is expensive! First you have to take out the screws that holds the speaker on, and 1 on the handle and 1 where you pull the door shut. Then unplug the wiring for the speaker, auto window and door locks, pop the door panel off. There are 2 bolts on the bottom of each end of the door. They hold the bracket that holds the track. Loosen whichever side is out of track (you may have to do both) and work it back in. You also may have to run the window up and down to help it back in. Hope this helps dude!
