SOURCE: abs light on after replacing hub bearing

Sounds like the ABS sensor has failed, or is unplugged. If someone did the work for you, take it back. Otherwise check the sensor on the right front. Replace as necessary. Also ask the Q at MyFordFreestyle.com

use a hammer to tap on the head of the shaft to push it back out, put a small block of wood on it before hitting it so you dont mushroom the end or distort the threads.

SOURCE: I have replaced the front passenger side wheel hub

it is most likely a bad wheel bearing, but it maybe the other side, some times the noise will carry threw the front end and make you think is the other side, we have a rule in my shop we never replace one wheel bearing we alwise replace both bearing on the end we are working on if the customer does not want that then we send them to another shop, the reason we do this is for just the thing you have going on it just saves allot of problems, and we never use cheep hubs, never use auto-zone or advanced or O'rileys, we had to warranty 12 hubs from auto zone in one year, i have never had to warranty a napa hub in 25 years, it just does not pay to save a few dollars. and all though it most likely is a wheel bearing there is a small chance it might be a carrier bearing in the front differential it would also go away when going around a corner but if you remove the wheel bearing and turn them by hand you can feal if the bearing has a bad spot. if the bearings feal good then pull the front differential.....GOOD LUCK

What is the size socket required for a 2012 Ford Fusion Axle nut? Also, what is the Torque spec to secure it back on? Working with Front-Right wheel.

The one that fits!

That's not the way it works. you buy a socket set. It has one set of AF Sockets and one set of Metric sockets. The one you use is the one that fits.

2006 escape AWD, replace front hub bearing

Rather than just the bearing, I suggest a new half shaft as the bearings and ABS tone wheel are already assembled. These Escapes are notorious for cracking the tone wheel setting off a code and then disabling the AWD system. So for a very few dollars more than it would take to disassemble the shaft , install bearings and tone wheel just get a new one.

Where is the abs plug on pontiac aztek

The sensors are made right into thee heel bearing hub assembly on this. The plug on the rear is right on the bearing assembly. The front you just follow the wire coming off of the hub. If you do have to replace this hub due to a sensor, don't get a cheap one to fix it. Those go out within about a year and then you just have a wheel bearing problem which is more dangerous than an abs issue.

Brakes makin nosie

Sounds like a wheel hub assembly is bad without seeing it. Alot of GM vehicles have the ABS wheel speed sensors built into the hub assemblies. Should be able to narrow the noise down by driving the car slightly turn left and right noise should change from loud to soft when turning the wheel. ( if you turn left and noise gets louder hub on right front is noisey.Opposite will occur if left side is bad)

2003 Pontiac Montana Front Wheel Bearings

Remove the wheel, remove the hub nut, remove the brake caliper and rotor, put your socket and extension through the hub flange onto the bearing retainer bolts, undo them, release the abs sensor connector if it has it, remove the bearing and hub flange as an assembly, put the new one on and go backwards from here. Torque the hub nut to 180 ft/lbs, your done.

Buick rendevousz headaches

I own the 2002 Buick Rendezvous CX and I've encountered the same problems listed here. The ABS / Traction Control Lamp stays on and was throwing a code for the left wheel speed sensor as well as an anti-lock brake code (both in the wheel bearing hub assembly). I replaced the left and right front wheel hub assembly yet this did not eliminate the abs codes.
Ultimately, I traced this problem to a break in the wire that leads to the left hub assembly. Although the sensor was properly connected, the wire (which is encased in a plastic housing) was broken. This is the wiring which leads from the abs wiring harness under the hood down to the left wheel abs sensor.
I would suggest that you simply remove the left wheel and inspect the wire that leads to the abs sensor (there is only one wire on each wheel). Mine literally fell apart when I removed the plastic housing around the wire. I spliced the wire together and put it back in the plastic housing. After this, my abs codes disappeared and my anti-lock brakes began working again!
This is a simple fix that many people spend $1000 + on by replacing the hub assembly which does not fix the problem.
