The problem may be a problem with amps. I am not sure how but it sounds like your truck just is not pushing the right amount out. I would consult a mechanic.

Use the wiring schematic to follow the wires and check for any breakage or burnt wires. Repair any breakage and recheck. Check all grounds in the circuit as well; a faulty ground can cause total loss of lights.
Check the brake light switch near the break pedal. Use a voltmeter to make certain the voltage is correct with switch engaged and disengaged. Check the grommet that depresses the switch as well. Repair any issues and recheck.

The left and right headlights are on different fuses. If both are not working, you need to check the fusible link, headlight relay, and the switch itself. See diagram below.

I had an issue like this one on a 2007 Colorado. I assume you mean the turn signal indicator inside the truck lights up. It was a bad bulb. think it was the turn signal bulb on the side that is lighting up. As for the gear indication being dim there is more than one bulb that lights them up and one may have blown. I hope this helps.

1987 dodge ram 50 pick/up rear lights not working but headlights work fine.also dash lights and radio lights are not working.

It could be a fuse? Have a look in the fuse box, your owners manual will detail where it is. Take a look at the top of each fuse to see if the thin piece of metal is burned out.

Dash lights-turn signal and rear lights

Access your fuse box and check the fuse labled- rear tail lgts, turn sgns, that fuse is blown, replace the fuse with the same value fuse, while your under there, on the fuse box or next to it you'll find 2 round plug in components, about the size of a Marshmellow, one of these is your flasher unit and the other is for your turn signals, replace both of these, even though one may work, it's just good sense to replace both, that shoud fix your rear lighting problem. good luck.....

2003 silverado 1500 v-6 brake lights dont work

ljones, Did you check the "VEH stop" fuse in the left side instrument panel fuse box. There are 3 stop light fuses, 1 for all the stop lights located in the under hood fuse box. 2 in the left side IP fuse box. 1 for the upper stop light and 1 for the lower stop lights. The fuse box in the IP is where the upper and lower stop lights split. Let me know.
