Drivers side cabin temp controll 2001 Chrystler T&C

How do I access the mixing damper/actuator for the drivers side cabin heat control. The passenger side works fine; the drivers side always blows hot air no matter what the temp control head is set to.

Heat comes thru driver's side vents, but blows cold air thru passenger side vents

You likely have a faulty blend door. It could be electrically, mechanically related, or even a broken door. It may be the blend door motor, or possibly the temp sensor.

2002 toyota tacoma air damper doesn't seem to close all the way

Your blend door is actuated by the motor shown below. It is possible the door is sticking or the actuator has internal damage.
You would have to remove the heater to access the actuator...

Driver's side heat doesn't work

There is a problem with the drivers side air mix valve. I have seen several problems with these. Sometimes the air mix valve (door) gets stuck and when you try to change it the air mix valve link can pop loose, or sometimes it breaks. Sometimes it also breaks the bellcrank on the door itself. The programmer unit can also be defective. Please refer to the picture below. The thing to do is to remove the lower hush panel and possibly the glove box assembly so you can get a good look at what is going on. Then switch the driver's temperature control from hot to cold and back again to observe the movement of the programmer actuator, the mix valve link, etc. to determine where the malfunction is.

Hello and welcome. this is caused by a bad temp door actuator for the drivers temp door. you will need to replace the drivers temp door actuator. this is a electric motor that moves the temp door from cold to hot and hot to cold

2001 aurora drivers side vent is always hot whether ac is on or not . passenger side works with the ac or heat. is this the door actuator that is bad on drivers side.

Yes, The driver side actuator has failed, actuator is mounted on passenger side of heater case under the dash, remove close out panel on bottom of dash, remove glove box then turn on key actuate the temp control switches and watch for movement of door linkage and you can tell which actuator isn't moving.

1995 Lesabre blows hot on drivers side, cold on passenger side

THIS IS A GUESS. Both sides probabley have "mix" dampers that regulate temp by mixing hot and cold air to make you comfortable. Passenger side must not work properly, stepper motor? Dirty actuator? Temp sensor on passenger not working? Don't honestly know but I'm not sure a do it yourselfer could figure it out. Sounds complicated.

I have 2001 Pontiac Bonneville My heat works but

Your passenger side temperature door actuator is bad. You can access the actuator by removing the glove box & hush panel. The actuator is on the side of the HVAC box. If you can gain access to the actuator watch the center of the actuator as you change the temp on the control head, if the actuator does not move it is bad, if it does, the door inside the HVAC box is bad. Most likely its the actuator. If you remove the actuator & open it up you will most likely find the large center plastic gear is cracked all the way through. It is held in place by 2 or 3 7/32 screws. Once you replace it, disconnect your battery wait 30 seconds and reconnect it to reset the HVAC control head so it can relearn your actuator positions. It can take up to 5 minutes for the control head to go through it's relearn procedure. You can try resetting the actuator first , but make sure your radio is turned off before you disconnect the battery and if your luck, the actuator may not have any broken parts and the gears may just need to be freed up and lubed. Good luck friend and hope this helps.

2001 buick century driver side heat/cool problems

Sounds like a problem with the "Drivers side temp actuator motor".
Each side has a motor that controlls the temp. door inside the dash for the driver or passenger side. These motors are approx. $75, plus 1 hr. labor to install. See more info here...
