The seat belt retractor mechanism is not electrical their mechanical. They must be damaged if not retracting or your parked on a grade. They are made to lock on any fore other than sitting level. This vehicle may have another lock agent involved like open doors or the like. Read your owners manual...

Subaru legacy 93 retractable seatbelts work then dont work wat is the cause of this?is the tract dirty or something?

Are both right and left sides inop? Check the switches on the door jams. They could be going bad.Make sure they are working. Check the motors that retract the belts.

I have a 1993 Subaru Legacy LSI. Seatbelt question

It has to be jerked just right for them to lock. Foreign cars are real touch when you **** them. American cars pretty much only lock up when you stop quickly and your whole body puts pressure on the belt.

2005 Subaru Legacy electrical repair question?

The #3 fuse does service both windows and door locks and #2 services a control module that affects door locks. Inspect them closely since the fuse element can crack when blowing and this is much harder to see. Pull a least #3 and plug it back in in case the contact blades have stopped comunicating with the mating connector.

To troubleshoot this effectively, you really need a cheap multimeter and the Haynes service manual for your car, #89101.
The manual has very good electrical diagrams in section 12 so you can logically trace the problem. They are available at most every auto parts chain store and cost ~ $20-25 US.

Automatic seatbelts and radio do not work

There is a tester that allows the technician to check the different parts of the systems for parts failure, if you want to fix it then your best bet is to go to a dealer for repair.

PLEASE READ
FixYa.com claims they have factory repair manuals, they have nothing of the sort, this is false advertising, we experts are not employed by FixYa.com, we help free of charge as much as we can with the general automotive knowledge we have learned while working as auto technicians, I think allot of people don't understand this,
