You better test these two switches to be sure they are bad, as well as the motor. if you have an old battery that is sufficient to operate the motor alone for testing. test each switch with a continuity tester --- if they are both bad you probably have a wiring problem --- make sure there is nothing binding the window mechanism.

Powered electric driver's window doesn't come down

There shouldbetwobrowb wires at the switch. One should have power all thetime. The other hound have power in only the down position. If there's power in the up position than the switch is bad. The dark blue wire should have power with the switch in the up position. If there is power in the up position than he switch is bad. If the switch checks out fine than motor is the problem. You can try to confirm this by tapping on the motor while holding the switch in either th up or down position. If it starts to work replace it.

I have a 97 monte carlo w/power windows. Originally the passenger window would go down from drivers side then wouldn't go at all. had the switch replaced and it worked for about a month. now it won't go...

It's probably the window regulator. They can be purchased at the dealership or sometimes you can find them cheaper if you go aftermarket. They can be pretty tricky to replace but most body shops can do it pretty cheap. They can also usually do it while you wait if they aren't that busy you've got 30-45 minutes.

Is there a relay that controls the driver side window for a 2002 Chevy Monte Carlo. The window goes down but doesnt go up. Only the driver side

There is no seperate relay that controls the up function for your vehicle.
I would suspect a power switch as the root cause of failure, as the window runs down as designed.
Good luck

Electrical problems with window switch, motor and relay replaced. window switch keeps blowing on driver's side.

Usully caused by a wire rubbed through. Common areas are within a few inces of switch, at window channel bracket inside door or where wires pass into car behind kick panel

Blower relay unit bad. common.
Located on pass. side floorboard up by duct work.
Hard to reach. Part is cheap. Looks like a little box with wires plugged in.
