1.- remove the hhod and hood hinge
2.- loosen the wheel lug nuts , raise the vehicle and securely support on jackstands, apply parking brake .remove the fron wheel.
3.-Disconet the antenna( fender only)
4.- Remove fender mounting bolts at fron close to the turn signal.
5.-remove the top view bolts at the engine comparment.
6.-Detach the fender is a good idea to have an assistant to prevent damage to the parts of the body
7.- Installation is the reverse of removal.

I nned the procedure for changing the drivers side fender on my 2000 Silverado 1500.

take the grill out, all the bolts behind the grill. take all the bolts out under the hood, note, the hood hinge is bolted to the fender,. Open the door and take the bolt out there. below the fender, behind the wheel, there is a bolt. take the screws out of the liner and it will come off. it takes about an hour and a half if the bolts are rusted.

If the other door works then the fuse is good. Before replacing the motor try twisting on the harness that goes from the door a disappears into the inner fender, wires in this harness get broken off from the tears of twisting when the door is opened and shut.

It is mounted on the RH inner fender under the hood. It's a black metal box with fins on it and a few large wiring harnesses going into it. You MUST have the battery disconnected when you hook the new one. Good luck
