Check your power steering fluid container and power steering lines, they might be leaking and dripping on exhaust

On 2005 ford taurus air conditioner quit cooling and white smoke coming from under the hood

You need to have your A/C checked as that chemical smell was the freon which is a deadly gas if inhaled.

Smoke from behind a pulley off of the serpentine belt. it's not the alternator, I think it may be the ac generator or whatever its called.

Alternator is also called a a/c generator..Unless you thinking the a/c compressor..If you can remove the drive belt and see if you can turn each pulley..It should turn easily and smooth..Do you smell anything burnt ??Also any other problems like no a/c ..

Chevy Aveo strange smell and smoke coming through the vent with air conditioning on. Checked engine-OK. Turned up air conditioning full blast...after 30 seconds...little more smell and smoke it stopped...

If the blower motor is still working, that was not the problem-the strange smell might have been from some bacteria in the plenium, and the smoke may have just been the result of condensation from the evaporator in the plenium-keep an eye on it, but if the blower is working, I would not be overly concerned about it.

White smoke comes out from front hood of car and little bit rubber smell.

your accessory belts are slipping and burning, producing smoke. Get them checked right away before they brake and your alternator does not charge the batt. When this happens you will eventually be stranded.

While driving with heat on smelt chemical smell and plastic smell. Looked back behind seat to the vents in the center console and saw smoke coming out of vents. Is my blower motor out and how do I...

there is a seperate fan switch on the control panel located on the rear of the console. remove inner console and inspect wiring first. it also hosts a seperate blower than your dash blower so any sign of melted wires can be replaced.

Gas smell

your brand new 1972 VW beetle may have as simple hole in the fuel line..when the car is not running you will not see any gas leaks becuase there is no call for gas to be fed to the motor.

have someone, or yourself crawl under the vehicle and look fort a small dripping or small stream of fuel.....REMEMBER!!!!!!!!!...gas is HIGHLY explosive and smoking while checking/working on the rpoblem...and fuel's smell comes from Naptha, a chemical added to oil to make gasoline, it is a very strong ordor..a small amount can smell like a gallon.
hope this helps you
