Some Dodges don't have inertia switches.. They have a shutdown relay that senses when an engine has stopped and shuts off the pump. It is a relay somewhere by the passenger side strut tower in the engine compartment near the distribution box. You cannot reset it. It must be replaced if it goes bad.
mskentland69, The water pump for your vehicle is located under the front engine cover and is operated by the timing belt. To access this you have to remove the forward motor mount, both of the belts, the right side splash guard, the crank shaft pulley and the cover. This is a two piece pump that has to be taken apart as you will reuse the back portion of it. It is usually recommended that you replace the timing belt at the same time. If you had a timing belt problem then it is recommended that you change the water pump at that time. Good luck with this.
