Problem for Mini 2007 Cooper S Convertible

Battery in my 05 mini cooper is dead.

Battery in my 05 mini cooper is dead. It is in the boot and I can not get the boot to open? Is there a release lever somewhere for the boot that I am missing?
I need to jump it and get it checked.

You can also pull the ring under the rear seat (driver's side) to open the boot manually.

jump the car, open the boot, disconnect the jumper and change the battery
