I've had a similar problem with my T4, the gauges were playing up, speedo and tacho were over reading, fuel and temp under reading. I replaced the ignition switch (not the key/barrel) due to another problem (engine not cranking) and I've not had any problems since. There's intructions for replacing the ignition switch elsewhere on the internet.

Speedo has suddenly stopped working also the mileometer has also stopped? please help

If you can hear it while your driving its the speedo and not the cable. Replace speedometer or whole gauge cluster.( What ever is easyer) You can find one on ebay. It could also be the speedo sensor on the top back half on the engine. REAL EXPENSIVE! Even for a used one. About $150 bucks for the sensor. And about the same for the Cluster.

Speedometer - 40MPH

the speedo is electronic, not cable, this problem is caused by a sticking stepper motor that moves the needle, a stepper motor is a miniature electric motor that can move and hold one position, this was a common problem at the dealer I worked at, u will need to pull the speedo and send it out for repair, I use the following link for this service.
