Question about 1991 Nissan Pickup

1990 nissan navara d21 replacing radio with newer cd player

I went to 3 different stores to find a head unit similar to mount into the existing slot where the radio goes but all three told me the exact same thing: the head units mount on the side not on top or bottom. also i noticed when i got home that the slot where the radio goes is not long enough to fit the newer units. do i have to modify the dash to get a newer head unit im totally lost.

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya Mechanic can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.
click here to Talk to a Mechanic (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

I have a 1991 Nissan King Cab with a faulty starter. I also have a 1990 Nissan D21 starter that does work. Is there any way that I can use the 1990 starter in the 1991? I know that they obviously look

The 4 cyl starter for manual trans and automatic trans are different so I doubt you could interchange them.
You would have to measure the travel distance for the bendix gear and the mounting holes, plus the diameter of the nose to be sure.

The starter motor in my Nissan navara d21 click like have a flat battery

You'll have to replace your starter, of if you're capable or your mechanic is willing, you have to rebuild it.

Make sure to disconnect your battery first. Usually 2, 3 bolts max hold the starter in and it just slides out and the new one slides in.

Good luck

when you are at the -C- display (you may have to wait up to 3 mins) press program button 5.

Use Up or Down buttons for first digit - Press 5 to store
Repeat for digits 2 3 & 4

Job done.

Now, can anyone advise me how to get the stock Cassette/ Radio out of the dash (replacing with CD player)?
