Question about 2004 Cadillac Sts
Front end rattles on my 1999 cadillac sts. Discs and brakes seem fine. Shocks see ok, u think it could be struts. Also car service light indicates problem with air bag, says service needed limiting car to 90mph. I was told it was an air bag in the suspension. Can anyone tell me about that. Something to due with the car ajusting its ground clearemce while at surtain speeds and while turning ext. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Your air bags are for when you crash, unless youre driving a custom lowrider. An air suspension system problem doesn't have a light, just a fault code in the computer system and will dispaly as a digital message. You'll need to take it to a shop with the proper equipment for diagnosing air bags in ordeer to have the light turned off.
The shaking is likely your half shafts and can usually be identified simply by examining the dust boots. If they're cracked or broken dirt will get inside and the bearings being quite sensitive and under a lot of 'pressure' will grind themselves into oblivion with small amounts of debris.
