Rebuild done. hard to start. engine check stays on. is this timing out 180 on dizzy

depends on what you agreed on a full rebuild with new parts yes should be covered if a partial rebuild depends upon what was repaired

My 1999 punto struggles to start after bad rain and when it eventually does it jumps until engine warm is there a cheap cure as i only have car till september thank you

It may need a new dizzy cap if you have a dizzy, if not change your coil pack and should fix problem, 1 of the 2 will have a hair line crack and it will draw moisture into it and Hanse the hard starting

Suzuki wagon r+gl check engine light keeps flashing and wont start after battery change

the engine (there are more than one engine)
has a distributor.
"have spark at coil down to dizzy but no spark at plugs"
this can mean only 2 things.
1: spark wires are dead. all 4, kinda hard to believe huh?
2: the dizzy is way off time. so time the dizzy and now spark
lands on each wire term.
if not a dizzy engine, post exact version of engine and country.

Orange light on dashboard on right hand side above red oil light

That is probally the check engine light, Buy what youir describeing, if it is on steady end not flashing on end off while driveing, End being that you stay vehicle is running real rough , It should be check out imediatlly ,That there is not real serious damage done to the vehicle, It will have to be scran to see what codes show up.

I have a vitara jlx se 1.6i 16v and i have a problem starting it when u turn the key to start it the engine turns over fuel is gettig to plugs the plugs are sparking the timing is all spot on iv changed...

Sounds to me like your dizzy is 180 degrees out.
Too explain: Suzuki does things oddly... the timing marks on the cam sprocket line up when #4 is ready to fire. But then they have you time the distributor to #1. to get it ready for #1 to fire you need to turn the crank one turn. This oddity causes many others to have your issue. So you can check... If you line up the marks on the cam, the dizzy rotor should be pointing at the wire going to #4.

Replaced dizzy, rotor, carby ... car will start but not idle and is a little rough feeling. help !! Leads and plugs appear fine.

make sure leads are all connected to the proper plugs!
is it a 4 or 6? a 4 would really run rough! also check spark timing.

How do i set the timing after replacing the cambelt.

Put the engine at TDC compression stroke , Thats when the valves are both closed on No 1 cyl and the piston is on its compression stroke .then align all cam and crank marks. set dizzy on No 1 cylinder (rotor pointing at #1 plug wire) . rotate engine 2 revolutions and recheck all marks. Fire away

My engine idles rough

Check timing and timing chain. Aim a timing light at the crankshaft. If the markl jumps around a lot, your chain has jumped a cog, and will need to be replaced. You didn't change plugs and wires. That's always a good place to start too. You may have a dead plug or wire.
