. Solving a P0449 Engine Code 2005 Chevy Monty Carlo

DTC P0449 Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Vent Solenoid Control Circuit.
Circuit Description
An ignition voltage is supplied to the evaporative emission (EVAP) canister vent solenoid valve. The control module grounds the EVAP canister vent solenoid valve control circuit to close the valve by means of an internal switch called a driver. The scan tool displays the commanded state of the EVAP canister vent solenoid valve as ON or OFF. The control module monitors the status of the driver. If the control module detects an incorrect voltage for the commanded state of the driver, this DTC sets.

2007 camry 4 cyl. p2013 p2118 codes

Unlikely the PCM died in two separate areas. 2013 is the IMRC( Intake manifold runner control) High. 2118 is the throttle low voltage. both of these could be a ground wire problem. This is where I would start(wiring). Would have to have electrical diagrams. But both, the IMRC motor and the throttle body module could be bad.

PO661 Code for CR-V Honda 2002

Hi there:DTC P0661 - IMRC (intake manifold runner control) Valve Position Sensor Circuit Low Voltage

Possible causes include broken vacuum hose to IMRC valve, faulty IMRC position sensor, faulty IMRC control valve, or faulty ECM (engine control module).

It is usually the IMRC vacuum solenoid which gets stuck and causes the problem rather than the sensor itself. Hopefully, it stays off for you. BTW, the Honda service looks for intermittent failure on this DTC so unless the problem remains where the IMRC is stuck in the high-RPM (smaller intake length) after a reset of the ECU it will be assumed an intermittent failure.

Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I`ll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

Thank you for using FixYa, have a nice day.

P2004 intake man.control bank 1 stuck open

The intake manifold runner control (IMRC) cables have plastic ends that like to break. Check your IMRC to see if the cable it attached. If the cable s attached, then the IMRC actuator is probably defective. (see diagram)

Mil comes on with p2004/ check valve stuck open. Where is the check valve located

P2004 - Intake manifold runner control (IMRC) stuck open (bank 1)
Description - This DTC is set when the IMRC is commanded closed, but the IMRC monitor indicated open. This DTC replaces P1518 and P1537.

Probable causes - IMRC monitor signal circuit shorted to PWR GND or SIG RTN
- Damaged IMRC actuator or solenoid
- Blocked vacuum hoses

Diagnostic aids - Monitor the IMRC and IMRCM PIDs. The IMRCM state should change when the IMRC is commanded open or closed.

This control valve generally is located on the back of the intake.

Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I`ll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.
