The Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor for a 1998 Chevrolet Cavalier 2.2L engine (VIN code 4) is mounted on the side of the throttle body assembly. It is marked "A" in the diagram below.

HINT: For further identification, GM almost always uses a GREEN colored connector for the electrical connection at the MAP sensor.

MAF Means mass air flow sensor so if this ware the air is coming in to the engine look for the air filter and this looks jike then you have got it .
This is a vary important sensor its first in line to the computer the first information it gets .
It also has a big recore value don't through it away its worth at least 100 dollars off the price of the new one .

It's in the black plastic tube that leads from the air filter box to the intake manifold.

its a inturnal filter an you need a 32 socket to remove the cap to remove the oil filter only hand tight n replace the rubber gasket every time you change the filter

Where is the signal flasher can for a 1997 sonoma gmc?


For 1997 GMC Truck Sonoma 4WD 4.3L SFI OHV 6cyl the Flasher is located:
* Front seating area, driver side, passenger side ofsteering column, under dash, mounted near cigarettelighter. Optional mounting location is under dash,on driver side of steering column
Application: Hazard flasher

* Front seating area, driver side, passenger side ofsteering column, under dash, mounted near cigarettelighter. Optional mounting location is under dash,on driver side of steering column
Application: Turn signal

For 1996 GMC Truck Sonoma 2WD 2.2L SFI OHV 4cyl
The EGR Valve is located under hood, center, rear engine area, mounted top rear driver side of engine.
