a friend told me there may be a high or low pressure switch that may be bad, is this something that may effect my a/c

u are assuming, that doesn't fix the problem, do the work, buy a set of AC pressure gauges or pay $100+ per hour to have a pro look at it, the gauges are around $50 on ebay.

Replace the relay,in side the relay is a set of points and a coil to energize the points when you turn a c on,could be bad, first try unpluging relay and then plug back in!could just be bad connection.

Ford ranger 2004 there is no elect.going to pump. I changed the inertia switch --pump still not running.what should I do next ?

Did you check the relay? Power goes from ignition switch to relay to pump. Where B+ stops is your problem.
Run a pair of jumper wire from battery to pump just to see if pump works. If it buzzes and runs its ok.
Then you definately know its something in the control circuit.

I have a 2004 ford ranger and today my dash lights, running lights, tail lights stopped working, all the fuses are fine. Any ideas

this could be your switch problem, or a relay problem. you need to link out the supply yo the side lights from your switch, if they work it is your switch gone. if they do not work you need to look in your handbook to see where the sidelight relay is and do the same there link it out direct if the lights work your relay is faulty and needs replacing. hope this helps.
