How do I remove the rear end

It's really pretty simple. Jack the truck up and rest it on jackstands on the frame of the truck. Remove the wheels, brake calipers "if it's disc brakes drums if it's drum brakes" remove the brake cable from the park brake assembly, remove the brake fluid lines from the wheel cylinders if it's drum brakes, remove the bolts holding the driveshaft to the rear yoke, remove the bolts holding the rear end to the leaf springs while the rear end is supported with the jack and then slowly let the jack down.... It's out!

How to remove rear springs on Xtrail T31?

Removing these springs is extremely dangerous. You can rent a spring compressor at your local auto parts store. Be aware that changing that tire size also changes your speedometer reading and the handling of the over all truck as well. Shocks may not work properly either. Dig deep into all the things that change. Good Luck

Rear end went out on 2000 tundra need instructions how to install it

Block the front tires, jack up the rear end. Remove driveshaft from rear end. Loosen but do not remove the leaf springs and the shock absorbers. Remove the brake lines and the emergency brake cable. Return vehicle to ground and finish removing the leaf springs and the shock absorbers. The vehicle will have to be slightly raised to do this. The other option is to replace the ring and pinion as a unit which requires a completely different set of instructions. What will you be doing, replacing the entire axle and housing or just the ring and pinion?

How do you remove the rear axle on a dodge ram 1500 p-up 2 wheel drive?

1st jack and use jack stands to safely lift the truck.disconnect brake lines and cables, remove tires, unbolt universal rear end to driveshaft, unbolt center bolts from axle to leaf springs, pull the rear end out from the side-much easier with two people. reverse process to put the new one on. I assume when you say axle you mean entire rear end. If you need to remove one axle side just take off tire and brake then remove rear end punkin cover and pull shear pin to remove your ring gear and planetary gear-pull axle shaft.

Leaf spring replacement

Yes but you need two thumbs. Jack the truck and support it on the frame ahead of the axel so the axel can hang on its own weight. Remove the bolts and mount to the bad spring - remove the axel mount first, Let the axel sag and put something under the tire to help hold it. Remove the spring mount bolts to the frame and lower the spring out the rear. reinstall is the reverse --- BUT --- the new spring may not fit right in the spring mounts. Mount the front bolt first and then the rear - you may have to use a pry-bar and force the spring into the rear mount.

Bouncing rearend

Some leaf springs, when removed causes a bounce in the rear end when you forget to put them all back. You should try adding some leaf springs recommended from the manufractuer, or just look for the same parts from another model just the same as your vehicle. (tip from experience: match the leafs, and where they go.) for example: the small one will go with the other small one. I used the 2nd largest leafs and added them to my rear end, so instead of just one leaf stock there was two. if this solves your problem let me know.
