Head torque specifications


Torquing the head bolts is done in 4 steps.
step 1 14 ft/lbs
step 2 36 ft/lbs
step 3 49 ft/lbs
step 4 retourque bolts 1 and 2 at 49ft/lbs.
Use this diagram for the torque sequence.

What is the torque settings on a 3.4 liter engine 94 camaro. replaced the heads and gaskets


Torque sequence --------- ' 6 2 3 7 ' ' 5 1 4 8 ' --------- Step 1: torque in sequence to 33 Ft/Lbs Step 2: turn an additional 90 degrees Recheck final torque in sequence *** CAUTION ***engine uses Torque To Yield head bolts (TTY) thatpermanently stretch during the initial installation.New head bolts must be used when cylinder head isreplaced or re-installed to obtain proper torque.

If you have the 3.3 or 3.5 engine the torque is 40 foot pounds + 1/4 turn.

Cylinder head bolts for 2.4 doch in ft\lbs
Step 1 .....................................................................................25
Step 2......................................................................................50
Step 3.......................................................................................50
Step 4.....................................Tighten an additional 1/4 turn (90-degrees)

Need cylinder head gasket torque specs.


looks like there is special sequence to reassemble and tightening, a quick note replace any bolts that have two punch marks.tighten as follows: x x x x x 10 4 2 6 8 x x x x x 7 5 1 3 9 torque all down to 15 ft lbs torque to 30 ft lbs plus 90 degrees. Good luck!

Had fire and need to know where to fine crankshef positioning sensor plug on wiring harness on 96 ram 1500 v6 3.9


The crankshaft positioning sensor should located around the crank pulley. The plug in should just be a few inches away from the sensor itself.
