Back lights stay on when the car is off

We just bought this car and today was the first time i drove it. now the back lights wont turn off i have tried to push the brake pedal up turning the timer off and nothing is working. please help

Ive just bought my audi a4 S.E 1.8 petrol 1998.. with 164k...when i bought it the abs lightt was on and also the brake warning indicator light comes on and stays on flashing,and at the same time the abs...


as the mot only says the "brakes work"to a certain efficiency,(the tester does NOT check the depth/thickness of the pads),chances are your pads/discs are in need of replacement.the pads have sensors in them for wear depth, so when checking the pads,front AND rear the abs sensors can be cleaned,and if done by a seat/skoda/vw/audi dealer they can put it on the diagnostic computer to give you a definative answer (this is cheaper than guessing) I replace the pads myself but get the car "diagnosed"when any red light shows.

3 days ago, i went to work no problem,had to move it after 6-7 hrs of time, would not turn on 2 try's, started like normal on 3rd. 2 days ago i drove it locally a couple of times, no problems. today...


I ran into the problem and it was corrosion on the battery terminals. on the inside against the battery. also check the the terminals for good connection.

Radiator warning light flashed on and off several times on the way to work today. Tonight, did the same thing and then stayed on. I drove to an appointment several miles away. When I came back out...


if there is no noticable leaks might be head gasket. Check to see if a lot of vapour comming from exaust. You may have to get a pressure test on cooling system.

Cruise Not Available and Check Engine Light on


PCV hose. I had the same problem...Hear air escaping from mine..I just put some hose tape over mine, and when I got the cruise not available and check engine again, sure enough..tape was coming off...replace the hose..problem solved.
