Do i need resistor for electronic ignition in an L200 ute

Have a look at the coil that you are using and if it reads 7 volt then yes you need a resistor in the run side or else the coil will overhaet and stop working

The blower fan for the ac and heat is only blowing on the high setting. been told is a resistor possibly

Yes, if the resistor fails, the only setting that will work is the "high" setting, because that is the only setting that does not go through the resistor.

IS THERE A BALLAST RESISTOR FOR THE BLOWER MOTOR. THE MOTOR IS FINE BUT IT WILL NOR WORK

Hi I will try and help you if i can.
Yes, there will be a resistor pack that controls the speed of the blower motor.
Usually on a 4 speed motor there will be three resistors.
When 4 speed is selected the motor gets full 12volts ( no resistors used )
When 3 speed is selected the motor gets its Voltage via 1 resistor ( reducing the speed )
When 2 speed is selected the motor gets its Voltage via 2 resistors ( reducing speed even more )
When 1 speed is selected the motor gets its Voltage via 3 resistors ( giving the lowest speed ).
Usually when the resistor pack burns out the motor will work but only on no.4 speed which does not use the resistors.
So i think your problem might be the control switch.
Ihope i have been of some help to you.

Replace the heater blower motor resistor in 2000 Jeep Wrangler Sport. Having trouble finding the resistor...do I take off more than the glove compartment door / box?

if its in the way yes...But the resistor is usually mounted within the blower motor box. Wires powering up the blower motor is coming from the resistor. Follow those lines!!

How can you test if fan motor or resistor is at fault of fan not turning? on an '01 malibu?

yes you can. at resistor take of connector to it. with key to on and fan on. check for voltage to resistor. if good voltage then resistor is bad. if no power in wire to resistor, then check for a bad fuse or relay in fuse box. have a good day !!!

Heater resistor only works on high. can it be repaired

Yes. This happens when a wire in the resistor opens. High is just a straight power application, outside of the resistor block. Replacing your resistor block should take care of the problem, but inspect the wires and connections before replacing it.
