SOURCE: Where is the camshaft position sensor located-99 Chevy Lumina 3.1

It's held down by one bolt right above the timing chain cover. It's next to the head that's facing toward the front of the car.

SOURCE: chevy lumina, lost keys, broke ignition, need to fix the wires

Solder and shrink tubing work fine for that. That is for the pk2 theft module that tells the car that you are using the correct key with the chip in it.

I have a 1999 Chevy Lumina 3.1.. Car won't start with key in, can jump across the starter, car will run for 10 seconds and shut off...HELP!!

It kinda sounds like it might be your car's computer that is something like a ECM. A bad coil pack could do same thing because with it being fuel injected that has no timing adjustment. What ever you do is don't try putting fuel into fuel jets as that will kill your engine computer. Read the Diagnostic Code Reader for a fault code that would provide area causing this problem.

My 1999 Chevy Lumina shuts down while driving and will not start immediately. It may start after a while but will shut down again. When parked, it starts and idles for a while and may or may not shut, but...

it sounds like your ignition module is failing, when the car dies, take off one spark plug wire from the coil and crank the key, see if there is spark. one other issue may be the crank position sensor which can also stop the module from firing a spark

My 1999 chevy lumina will not start, the battery is fine, but when the key is turned, it doesn't even click. May be the starter, but not sure?

It will either be the starter solenoid or the ignition switch being faulty. Check those, if you are unfamiliar with the components i suggest you take it to a repair shop. Those are cheap fixes even if you have someone do it for you. I hope i was able to help. Please rate if i did.

Thank you!

1999 Chevy Lumina won't turn over...new battery

If your lumina has a Pass II key, it may well be the ignition lock cylinder on the steering column. The car key has a resistor staked on the sides of it which is read by the theft deterent module. The theft deterent module issues a command to the ignition relay and the fuel injectors when it reads a correct resistance from the key. If the lock cylinder is damage( broken wire) ect. the theft deterent module will not be able to read the key. Unfortunately, if you have a Lumina with a solid shroud around the steering column, the dealer will charge you $700-$1200 to replace the cylinder.
Good luck

Ignition switch won't turn and car won't go into gear 1995 Chevy Lumina

Make sure you don't have the steering wheel locked. If the key still won't turn then you will have to replace the ignition lock cylinder. The gear shifter on any car should not move unless key is turned.
