there is a short in the turn signal socket, take the turn signal light off and try if the dash will flush when you use the turn signal, i see this problem with Hyundai.
make sure the turn signal socket tide and touch both clips
All the exterior lights run threw the turn signal switch, except the high mount brake light. So it could be the head light switch in the dash or the turn signal switch.
Hi, a couple things. First is ur flasher mod installed? Next check the grounds om the tailights. U may have lost it if u had to mount the fixture differently. Hope that helps
2) On the inside jam there are two torx headed screws (T-15's if I
remember correctly).
3) Unscrew the two torx screws.
4) The light is now held by two mounting tabs (small spherical headed
plastic sets that go through a rubber grommet).
5) You will need to pry the light casing off (easy pressure with a good
size flat head screw driver will do the trick).
6) The light bulbs are twist mount settings inside the light casing.
7) Twist out the mount setting, change the bulbs, and reset the light
mountings.
8) To put the light casing push the light casing back on and put in the
screws. Everything else will work in reverse when it comes to assembling the
whole unit.

yes it sounds like the converter is no good, the converters purpose is, when you have a trailer it uses the brake and signal on the same bulb, so if you were to step on the brake and have the left signal on, then the left brake light would turn into the signal,on your truck it has sperate lights for signal and brake, the converter converts this into one light for the trailer, so just replace the converter and everything should work fine, hope this helps.
You have to remove the headlight assembly to remove the turn lightassemble. There are two mounting bolts that hold the headlight assembly to the frame that needs to be removed and one mounting bolt that holds the turn signal light assembly on the headlight assembly that needs to be removed. Once all three bolts (black plastic in colour with a wing nut) have been removed the headlight and turn signal assembly can just be removed. Take note that the assembly has a guild slot to be guild in place back when re installing the head light and turn signal assembly. Good luck and hope this helps. Keep me posted and I'll try to explain in a different way if i was un clear, Harder to explain then doing the job it self.
