Question about Cars & Trucks
My battery died so I got a new one. I put it in my 2005 GMC Envoy Now I hear a clicking noise in my dashboard
Sounds like the HVAC system mode door is not calibrated, normally they calibrate by themselves after a battery disconnect. What is happening is the door is trying to find a end point to stop at full travel in either direction this resistance value is stored in the module for a reference so it knows where to move the door when a position is selected. You may need to take it to a shop to possibly get it calibrated with their test equipment or maybe that electric actuator stripped the gears when it was trying to calibrate.

most likely the blower motor squirrel cage hit the fan housing or the motor has a damaged bearing from the impact, the noise is coming from the fan which is on the passenger side, pull the fan assembly out and see if the blower cage is damaged, if it spins true then replace the blower motor, not a very hard job.
