Question about Mercedes-Benz ML320

1 Answer

The right size wrench for ml 320 2002

I'm trying to replace the brakes and I have tried a 5mm wrench which was to big. A 4.5mm was not big enough. A 3/8 wrench was to big and a 3/16 was not big enough. It looks like the right size is between a 3/16 and a 7/32.

Steel tubing or rubber flex hose?

What line, where, how long, where does it go-- to end for end

Rubber Hose is just unbolted

Steel tube is unbolted and if necessary cut out & new
tubing has to be cut to size, flared & bent to fit

It is a fabrication job few folks have the patience or skills
for,not many auto repair people do,not the pros

Changing front brake pads

You shouldn't need to remove the calipers altogether just to replace the pads. You have remove the split pins or retaining springs on the old pads, then prize back the caliper pistons enough to remove them. Then push the pistons back some more enough to get the new pads in. Then reassemble and test.

2006 Chev Cobalt oil filter replacement

i have a 2006 chevy cobalt LT..and i just replaced my oil filter today!!! after several hours of looking i finally looked on the front side of the transmission block.to the left just below the air intake system is a hard heat resistant plastic black bolt topper.it is 1 1/4" in size..i bought a 1 1/2" size and a 36mm size socket torque wrench..both didnt work..1 1/2 was way too big, the 36mm was just slightly too big..took them back, replaced for the 1 1/4" inch socket and voila!!! is was rather difficult..you will need an extender and some good torquing to do to pop it..but once you do it will pop fine..oh, and you will need a 1/2" drive socket wrench.but the 1 1/4"inch socket..pop it onto a 1/2" drive socket wrench with the extender and you are good to go!!
