Question about Saturn Vue
Took my 2004 VUE to Sears to have new tires & alignment, plus battery check. Next day I realized I couldn't hear the radio (AM or FM). I can see the display, change the channels, and the volume is all the way up, but I can't hear it. There is no mute button that I could find nor did it reference one in the manual. HOWEVER, I can hear the CD just fine. Took it back to Sears, where no one had ever heard of that specific problem. The antenna looked fine and the battery is connected fine. They said if it was a fuse, nothing on the radio/CD would work. I asked about a loose wire. They said in this model everything connects into one big plug, so if the connection was loose, nothing would work. In other words, it isn't anything they may have done when working on my car. Help!

SOURCE: 1999 Jaguar XK8 radio problem
You should reboot the system, sometimes these cars hicup so to speak.
Disconnect the battery, both sides, then with it still disconnected turn the key to crank 3-4 times (with the battery disconnected, this just discharges all the ecu's and clears any held memorys)
Reconnect the battery (pos + first)
After that you need to relearn the windows, with the key on or the car running send the windows all the way up, then one at a time, hold the button to bring 1 down and continue to hold for 5 seconds once it is all the way down, do the same for the up position, repeat on the other side and you should be good to go.

if you have installed a new cd player in there then the propblem could be that your speaker wires and either touching each other or grounding them selfs out.. pull of the cd player and check to make sure all the speaker wires are covered properly and no bare wires are exposed.. if you still have a factory cd player in it then you will probably need to take it to a dealership to have it checked out..

the radio that you see in the dash is your only radio!!! behind the radio is a antenna plugged into your radio(or not) if not then its going to be the biggest (most likely) black wire and you can probably figure out where it goes. theres only one spot for it to go!
