Question about 2007 Honda Fit Sport Hatchback

Open Question

07 Honda Fit SI Auto 46k CEL with flashing D indicator

CEL came on with flashing D indicator while driving I95 (65 mph) performance not affected.  My local dealership is shady and I want to make sure I'm not taken advantage of considering it could be anything from a loose gas cap to a transmission issue.

SOURCE: CEL Error Code p2227

P2227 is thrown for barometric pressure circuit range/performance error. I'm researching what causes it since I have the same thing on my turbocharged Accord.

99 Alero 4 cyl. CEL flashing, cuts off while stopped or when slow down to turn corners. Recently started backfiring. Drives fine @40 mph. Went to auto zone and got #3 misfire code.

start with changing your plugs, wires and distributor cap and rotor. If it is the type of system that uses coil overs, then replace coil number three as well. A flashing CEL means that you have a misfire that is bad enough to damage your catalytic converter so get on the one before you have to pay bigger money

When our speedometer and odometer went out it in our 94 honda accord it was due to our vehicle speed sensor being bad... once we replaced it with a new one, everything worked fine. I'm not sure about the rpm indicator though because that wasn't affected in ours... I hope this helps

My maintance light comes on is there a "do it yourself for this"? my care is a honda civic hatchback si.

Just to be clear, your maintenance light has illuminated and not the check engine light (CEL) . a CEL indicates that the car has detected a problem of some kind and depending on the severity of the fault it may be harmful to continue driving.

If it is the maintence light then that is easy. It is automatically set to come on at predetermined mileage marks to remind you to have the car serviced.

The maintenance required light is a reminder to bring the car in for scheduled maintenance (every 10,000 miles). The light will flash after start up for 10 seconds once you are 2000 miles from the car's scheduled maintenance. Once you pass the scheduled maintencance mark (every 10,000 miles) without having the maintenanced performed and/or the light reset by the dealer, it will remain on forever unless reset.

To reset it yourself

Hold down the trip meter button, turn the car to on, wait about 20 seconds, start the car, and let go of the button. Light is reset until the next mileage interval.

*make sure lo beam headlights are turned OFF during the procedure*

I’m happy to assist further over the phone at

What type of oil do i use in my audi a6 2.8 quartto

5w30 is recommended up to 100 degrees. over that and it is recommending a 20w50. I would use a good synthetic 5w30 which is good for much higher temperatures and will easily perform well in the +100 degree range as well as the -0 temp range. Mobil 1 or Amsoil fit the bill nicely.

How do i loosen the auto tensioner on my 02 civic si

2002 Honda Civic SI 2.0L MFI VTEC DOHC 4cyl
  1. Place a long-handled, boxed-end wrench or a belt tension release tool (A) on the drive belt auto-tensioner from above the engine. Slowly turn the wrench in the direction shown to release the tension, then remove the drive belt.
WARNING This is a hydraulic type auto-tensioner; you must turn the wrench slowly.
  2. Install the new belt in the reverse order of removal.

Today my check engine light came on, and it also seemed like my car was hesitating -- I was driving about 60 mph on the highway when I noticed it. I've read online about the gas cap/CEL connection, but...

usually the loose gas cap won't affect your driveability too much. I would stop by an auto parts store and get your codes scanned free, to determine what tripped the light. That way you will know for sure what turned the light on.
