SOURCE: Driver Side Mirror

On the inside trim, you can remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. Then you'll need to manipulate the panel and disconnect the door handle linkage from the door handle and disconnect the wiring for your controls. Then you can access the bolts that secure the mirror onto the door

SOURCE: Toyota prado 1996 electric window and mirror on

the fuses for the windows will be in fuse box, it sounds like possible water intrusion, the fuses should all be marked, if they are all good, you may have to remove the door panel to check for any damage at door switches

SOURCE: The drivers side mirror adjusts

You will probably need that side mirror as the motor has failed. The motor in the mirror will control both directions, but sometimes loses the ability to control either up/down or in/out. Check the other side if it also doesn't adjust side to side I'd then suspect the mirror switch.

How do you fix a side mirror on a 2001 Chevy Silverado. The mirror housing just flops around and the ''break away'' part seems to be broken.

These are kind of a pain but do-able with a 1/4" drive socket set
Remove the interior trim piece that covers the area Not the whole door panel - it will pop off with a flat blade screw driver
Remove the black foam insert
Now you can see the 3 nuts that hold the mirror to the door
Careful if you drop them you will say bad words
reinstall the same way - Slow and careful

1999 saturn sc driver side mirror wiggles. How do I tighten it?

You can remove the interior cosmetic piece and snug up the mounting nuts. However not rare for a plastic mount inside the mirror body to break, meaning it will flop around and you have to replace the whole thing.

The glass in the driver side rear view mirror is loose. how do you tighten it up?

The driver and passenger side mirrors have a small rubber plug in the bottom center of the mirror housing. Remove the plug and there is a phillips head screw holding the mirror assembly. Tighten this screw about 1/8 turn and it will keep the mirror from moving around. If you remove the screw you can remove the mirror and drive motors. Use a bit of thread-lock to keep the screw from loosing again. Reinstall the rubber plug.
