Question about 1999 Dodge Ram
Is there an easier way of replacing the heater core than removing the dash?
No, but you may get by just removing the passenger side, without taking the whole dashboard off. If what I looked up is correct its located near the glove box. Behind the dash. The hardest part of this job is getting that dash back on. If you only have to take off the one side that will help immensely!

The heater core is in the middle of the black box ,you will need to take your dash loose and raise it up or take it all the way out to be able to get to everything, also you will have to unhook you a/c lines to remove, good luck,
