Question about 2002 Jaguar X-Type
Check your inertia switch on the passenger side kick panel.It is a red switch that control fuel pump pressure.Check and see if its engaged etc.You should here the pump once you turn the key to phase two.This is a start..it the switch is not the issue, check the fuel pump fuse.

If no fuel pressure do the following, check the fuel pump fuse, Check the pump relay ,should click as the ignition is turned on and off, check for 12 vaults at fuel pump, have some one work the ignition key as the computer will shut down the pump in a few seconds, replace the fuel filter if blocked, the pump could be at fault check fuel pressure and flow.
