Question about 1994 BMW 5 Series
Trying to figure out where to start with key in ignition light staying on and running battery down
Most likely will just need the ignition switch replaced. This is the electrical portion of the ignition, not the metal cylinder where your key goes. You will need to pull off the steering column plastic clamshell behind the steering wheel to access it. It is attached to the back of the key cylinder. It is not too expensive or hard to replace.
