My power steering in my toyota camry 1992 is very hard to turn however it will be hard to turn for a couple days and then all the sudden something happens (dont know what) and it comes back I had it...

Be systematic about this
- you will have checked the fluid level in the separate P/S reservoir
- check the pump drive belt for tightness. Intermittent slipping can cause this symptom
- if your car has cooling fans hydraulically driven by the P/S pump (some Camrys do, some not) the fault may lie in that circuit. Look to see the fans run when hot and when you have no steering assist for a clue
- is there any difference between left and right when hard steering? If so it points to a faulty control valve

- air in the system will cause this intermittent behavior, but you said the air has been purged out? If not, jack up the whole front end, start the engine, and turn the steering wheel fully lock to lock a few times, checking the fluid level meanwhile
- then, it could be the overpressure relief valve in the pump is faulty. This can be replaced without replacing the pump. You will need a pressure gauge to check this, best done by a steering shop
- then, the seals in the steering rack could be worn, but the loss of power steering should not be just intermittent if so.

Power steering leak

replacing a line wouldnt be to hard, neither would replacing the whole pump, which is probably what you will have to do. If you checked it and it was dry then there has, more than likely been damage done to the pump. The biggest problem with your situation isn't really difficulty of the job but more the cost of replacement parts. I can't say for sure on your vehicle but pumps can get pretty pricey for some cars. Good luck on your fix.

My 1992 ford explrer sport is leiking power steel fluid

depending on where it's leaking from, it's either time to replace a power steering hose, or the whole pump. If it's original pump, it's probably time to replace anyways. they aren't too expensive.

How do I replace power steering pump on '92 ford f150

Take a few bolts out, disconnect a couple hoses(and maybe a few wires)--install new in reverse order. I know for sure that a repair manual would tell you how to do that. Chilton or Haynes, your choice. Do yourself a favor though and plan on buying a new pulley. Anytime you replace the pump you should replace the pulley.
