SOURCE: 2000 chevy 1500 6 cyl pickup wont start just spins

Maybe a problem with the theft deterrant system. My Tahoe had a similar intermittant problem and the dealer said there was a fault in the theft system and it would shut off the fuel pump.

check wires at throttle body. can use a 12 volt test light to check for current. if you have spark it is not the ign module. set meter for 12-20volts. should have 2 fuse boxes on this model, one behind right side of dash at floorboard

Hello! Please tell me what you meant by "We took the wires to check for mass"?

However, you are correct, it is fuse #5 10amp. It is located in the under hood fuse block. Change the fuse; If it does not hold perform the following test...

With key off...Disconnect the Injector's plug in connectors...Each connector has two wires marked A and B...A goes to battery feed and B to the Power Train Control Module (PCM)...

Using an ohm meter set on the X10 scale measure from each plugs pin A to ground...It must be open, no needle deflection...If you read any resistance at all, the hot lead which is common to all injectors, is grounded in the harness...

Next measure from each injector (both pins) to ground...You should read zero ohms,,,No resistance to ground...If any one injector reads to ground it is defective...Replace...Since all injectors are tied to common battery, any one injector shorted to ground will short all of them to ground...

My mitsubishi eclipse 95 gs wont start and theres no light on my dash bored it will cranck but wont start at all i need help asap


Since the engine cranks, the battery, starter motor/starter motor solenoid are most likely
good, so suspect everything else on the list. When you narrow it down, re-post with a
more specific question about that particular component, since 100s of components must operate
nearly perfectly for a vehicle to actually start.

Sometimes the antitheft security system can turn off the injectors and/or fuel pump when there is a problem in the system. A good indicator is if there is a light somewhere on the dash that reads SECURITY. Turns over but wont start i got fire and fuel to the fuel rail but the injecters are not delivering fuel any ideas whats wronge


sounds like u got no injector pulse comin from ecm.we need to pull ecm codes an review them ,possible camshaft sensors faulty they usually provide reference pulses to ecm for injector firing or pulse.without this pulse ur injectors will never open up to let fuel enter combustion chamber. one way of checking pulse is to connect a noid light(small light bulb that plugs in injector pigtail to chek for power to injector and ur pulsing ground coming from ecm to injector) an test for a blinking light while cranking engine.

All these codes indicate you have a misfire on cylinder number 5.
P1399/P0300 - Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected
P0305 - Cylinder #5 Misfire Detected

Causes:
- Improper spark plug at cylinder #5
- Insufficient compression at cylinder #5
- Incorrect fuel pressure
- The injector circuit is open or shorted at cylinder #5
- Fuel injector #5 may be faulty
- Intake air leak at cylinder head

Solutions:
- Perform Injector Service
- Replace Spark Plug #5
- Replace Injector #5
- Replace Ignition Coil #5
