Engine locked up

One day I was driving this car and I was in the turning lane, when I pressed on the gas, the car was acting like it was out of gas but I know it wasn't. it then cut off. I tried to start it. it was acting like it wasn't getting any fuel. until I try one last time and I turned the key and it made a strange sound. a mechanic said that the motor is locked up is that true and how did that happen. it was very low in oil too

Unfortunately, you've got serious problems. The GM 3.1 and 3.4 engines have a nasty habit of breaking camshafts. For some reason, which I have yet to determine, the cam bearings seize on the cam and the camshaft ends up breaking in half. The engine will continue to run, albeit very poorly since all the cylinders are not working because the rear half of the camshaft, which runs the oil pump, is not spinning.

SOURCE: 2001 Buick LeSabre, 175,000 + miles. Won't start

Your cars problem lays into the electrical system only. Wetness is causing a short. When you turn the key on and off for so many times the connections to the battery and starter get warmer each time in turn dries out the connections the contact is made so it will start.
If the car will not start at all when wet the plug wires would be at fault. Yours does start as you state so the wires are fine so far. I would check the connections of all wiring to the starter, battery, & alternator making sure they are corrosion free and tight

Engine turns over but will not start

What engine. Check for spark and check for fuel. There is a fuel rail on the side of where the carb would be put a rag over the valve on the rail that looks like you would fill a tire up with air under a black plastic cap. Put rag over and press center down with a screw driver and fuel should squirt out under pressure. Timing could have jumped. Get back to us

Have it checked out, have the cooling system "pressure checked" and see where the coolant went. When they find that, it may explain the other problems.

2000 Cougar - Car hesitates, acts like no gas getting to it,

you may need to use a high octane gas to clean your injectors and replace the inline gas filter as this should cure the problem. On the wiper blades that is more than likeley the relay switch that is connected to them it should be located near the firewall on the driverside.
