To replace fuel pump you have to pull the fuel tank out of the vehicle . An replacing fuel filter would be a good idea .

Hi guys i have a 1989 ford xf falcon ute and i got a starting problem! I wants to start but everytime i touch the throttle to get it to run it dies straight away, i have checked for spark and it is really...

If you can get it to run a tad more by just spraying starter fluid into carb, then the carb needs to be cleaned, repaired, or replaced. All the spark, compression in the world will get you no where without the gas!!!!!!

2005 suzuki aerio runs great, starting problems though

surely you know your starters normal sound, no?

.25 means 250 rpm (dial .25x 1000 = 250)
Most cars do near 300, but gee, in alaska its less and starts. so....
there are vast reasons for non starts.
from water in a cylinder
to weak battery.
weak spark
bad fueling (excess or not enough)
to never doing a tune up ever, that you?
This car has OBD2, if a scan tool is attached, you can
check to see if water temp, is the same as outdoors, on first start.
if the temp shows, say -20F at 70F outdoors, the ECT is bad.
this would cause flooding.
what can you do, plenty of willing to own tools, are you. or do you like to guess?
compression good.
battery good, try a barrowed good battery that measure 12.6vdc rested.
put in new spark plugs, using under hood sticker stated gaps.
does the car start good on test fuel? with the fuel pump relay pulled.
yes, then motor and spark is good, and fueling is bad.
(too much or too little) ill stop here, but you can see where im going.

1991 f250 4x4 auto, when hot in florida it stops running, why?

Fuel pump fuel pump, one main reason for a vehicle to stop running as it is warm is the fuel pump and the second reason is the most famous of all the ignition module that is on the distributor as it warms up it can the resistance get greater and effects the ability for the vehicle to maintain spark and you stall out, but when cold you can start up, ignition module or fuel pump both are capable of failing when you reach operating temperature

No spark

Check all your fuses. If there is no apparent problem, try running a direct wire from the pos (+) or red post on the battery to the positive post on your coil, then with this directly connected turn your key and see if it starts. If it does start you have a problem with the wiring from tour ignition to the fuse box or from fuse box to coil. If it still doesnt start you may need to check your spark plugs and then compression. If there is spark there but still wont run it could, and is more likely a fuel problem. Id suggest cleaning the carburettor, changing the fuel filter and blowing some air down the fuel line fron the engine end to the fuel tank, as there could be something blocking the end of the tube in the fuel tank. A good way to check if it is a fuel problem is spray a heap of ether spray/engine start into the carburettor then turn your key. If it starts then dies again, you only have a fuel problem. Working out which is the problem will make it easier to fix and save you a heap of money. Good luck and hope it helps. Let me know which way makes it start, with a wire to the coil, or with the enigine start into the carby and ill giude you further if you want.
