SOURCE: OIL SENSOR LIGHT ON 2001 Audi 2.8liter

It could simply be maybe the person changing your oil never reset the light? or you have a oil pressure sensor leaking or not working.
most of the time its someone never reset the oil change light. even before it goes on it goes by mileage, so maybe it didnt go off yet cause you cnahged it a tad early.so noone even tried to reset it.

I guess you could have an oil pressure problem, but thats going the extreme route.. but if nothing else shows that could be a problem.

SOURCE: how many miles before an oil change on 2003 audi

DON'T TRUST AUDI MANUALS, MY 2003 A4 PLUGGED OILS LINKS ONLY AFTER 5000 MILES. VW STRETCHED THE MILEAGE OUT TO MAKE A PROFIT AND I REALLY RECOMMEND 4000 INTERVALS, NO LONGER -AT A US EAST COATS TEMP RANGE OF FREEZING TO 10 BELOW TO 15 C - 20 C.

AUDI ENDED UP INCREASING OIL LINE SIZES AND ENLARGING THE OIL FILTER BY 50% AND TELLING ME TO USE THE NEW FILTER FROM THEN ON.

SO LESSON LEARNT, EVEN WITH SYNTHETIC, DO NOT GO BEYOND 4,000 OR BAD THINGS WILL HAPPEN -CALLED ENGINE SLUDGING UP

SOURCE: oil min. warning comes on,

this is just a thought , but i would first replace oil pressure switch as this is cheap start to solving your problem , i wonder if you have caused air leak when chnageing oil sensor in sump by not sealing sump correctly ,? the other thing may be you oil pump is worn causing incorrect oil pressure , which may be reason for your oil problems in the beginning , hope this helps , i know what its like when you run out of idea's good luck .

SOURCE: 1995 audi A6 Quatro, oil

I would check to see if there is a level sensor in the bottom of engine oil pan. If there is not, there is also a oil switch that threads into the block that could be bad.

SOURCE: I have a 2001 audi a6 2.7bi turbo, the oil sensor

sludge could be causing the light to come on. most likely the sensor came on because you went a certain mileage without changing your oil.

Oil light came on 1000 miles short of estimated next oil change, had the oil change done and the light comes on and off 2005 tuscon

Could possibly be a loose connection on the oil sending sensor or the sensor itself may be on its way out. Most sensors are located on the side of the engine block usually on on or near where the oil filter attaches.

Service lights

Well, let me just say that if you have gone 10,000 miles without servicing your brand-new Lexus, you are a LOT braver than I would ever be. I certainly do not have the gold available to pay for the possible consequeces of pulling that one off. When was the last time you even checked your engine oil level? I have seen MANY vehicles run completely out of oil between 3000 mile services and completely DESTROY the engines! 10,000 miles is REALLY taking HUGE chances!

You may have 2 separate problems...One for the oil needing service and one for a problem with your AWD system. However, Toyota and Lexus are known for disabling things like AWD, ABS, Traction Control, etc. when the engine computer detects things like low oil pressure or low oil levels. This can cause several warning lamps to all come on at the same time.

GET YOUR VEHICLE SERVICED!!! Hopefully, you will be one of the lucky ones and have not done any serious damage by not getting it serviced when you should have.

Your oil should be changed every 3000 miles (Or every 5000 miles if you are using full-synthetic oil). You should also check the oil level between services AT LEAST every 1000 miles (or more often, if you are having to add oil at 1000 miles). For a properly maintained vehicle, checking the oil level between oil changes SHOULD seem a total waste of time. However, it is the single, MOST IMPORTANT thing you can spend your time on when it comes to getting a lot of miles from your investment. If your engine starts using (burning) oil or if it starts leaking oil, you will not know about it in time to save your engine if you are not in the habit of checking it on a regular basis.

P0420 code keeps poping up on my check engine light i have changed all my o2 sensors and other parts what could it possibly be?

Most likely it's your catalytic converter. ( $600 / $1000 in a shop, do it your self for half) most are good for about 150,000 miles. if you have less miles then you need to find out what is causing the converter to fail. like burning oil or leaking anti freeze into exhaust system are you having to add oil or antifreeze?

My 2003 altima 2.5sl has the check engine light on....... after new plugs and the front o2 sensor changed it is now reading the cat !!!!!!!! now im also using ...

THe engine is burning oil and fouling the sensors and clogging the converter. This could be caused be a faulty PCV valve, bad valve seals or piston rings, This condition only gets worse = as the converter clogs it puts back pressure in to engine and forces motor oil back into the air intake thru either the PCV passage or vent breather tube. You can try to clean some of crud out of the converter and exhaust system with a good additive like Seamist or Techron, etc. The underlying cause will still cause it to clog again is you don't repair the root problem.

2002 trailblazer 4.2 4wd i have a code p1345 that keeps returning ive replaced the cam postion sensor and the crank sensor and the cam postion actuator solenoid i just put the cam position actuator...

beleive it or not changing the oil if dirty will solve this code, also found that connector gets oil in it and that also makes p1345 code turn on, open connector and look for oil in it,look at sensor and actuator plugs for oil,the main plug connector is the actuator plug it fills with oil and makes contact between pins setting p1345 code, hope this helps.

Oil light comes on and beeps

Changing oil can't hurt. When was the last time you had it changes? How many miles on that engine?Changing approximately ever 3,000 miles is common practice. The engine oil light and the automatic transmission are two seperate problems.     Engine oil light come on because the sensor reads a low oil preasure. If the engine is not worn then the light can be caused by the sensor getting cloged up (from dirty oil ) and not reading the preasure correctly.
