Want to bypass your vehicle security system

You can't remove alarms or bypass them, you have to fix them.

Disconnect the battery fully for at least 2 hours.
Hold the negative and positive leads together for 5 minutes.
PUT THE KEY IN THE IGNITION, but not turned on.
Connect the Positive lead to the battery.
Connect the Negative lead in one swift movement.
Wait 15 minutes for the ECM to re-pair the chips in the key and the ignition key.

Need to remove the starter motor

Gather all of the fob remote car starters for your car, unless you only have one. Insert your key into the ignition turn it to the "On" position --- right before actually starting the car, the lights should turn on. Press and hold the "Lock" button on your fob remote car starter for one second. Turn your key to the "Off" position --- the car lights should turn off. Do this within five seconds of turning the key to the "On" position and don't remove the key once you've turned it to the "Off"...

My key for my pontiac aztek is stuck in the aux position and wont come out nor will it move back all the way, so the radio light is staying on as well as the battery light. what can I do? midas told me...

Disconnect the battery (negative cable). Let sit for a few minutes. When you reconnect the cable, turn the key to the off position, and remove the key. Then, reinsert the key, turn to the ON position and leave for 15-20 minutes. This will enable your Aztek to resync the Passkey 3 key on the ignition.

If you have the battery with the "bypass" handle, simply lift the handle -- you'll hear the battery re-engage. Then you should be able to return the key to the A positon, remove your key, or simply re-attempt to restart. But, if this works, that is telling you that the Passkey fuse (both Console and Under hood fuses) may need to be replaced.

I know from experience that you will want to have your Passkey or battery checked.

Key won't turn in a 2002 chevy mailbu, how do you remove the key cylinder?

tap the end of the cylinder with the handle end of a screwdriver and then try turning the key. try this several times along with wiggling the key to get the lock cylinder to turn. If you can get it to turn your in good shape.

I would recommend disconnecting the battery because the key needs to be in the run position in order for the lock cylinder to be removed. This will keep the battery from going dead.

With the key in the run position remove the trim cover that goes over the radio and heater controls. Then remove the radio. You should then be able to see the button that holds the lock cylinder in place. The button will only press in with the key in the run or accessory position (one or the other I don't remember specifically off hand) this is why it is important to get the key to turn

Push in on the button with a small screwdriver and pull the lock cylinder out.

If you can't get the key to turn than your going to have to drill the center of the lock cylinder out until you can get it to turn. I would not recommend doing this unless you understand how it works or have previous experiences doing this as it can get ugly in a hurry.

Key stuck in 2009 chevy hhr ignition help please

You may want to try pushing fordward harder into the park position while turning the key to the off position. The locking cable may need adjustment. If this does not work, try turning the collar just behind the keyswitch counter clockwise while trying to remove the key. Thanks, Dana

2003 Pontiac Grand Prix Gtp cannot get key out of the ignition.

On the steering column on the right side, there is an opening of which you can insert your finger and feel for a button inside the column. Push this button and the key will release. THis is a bypass. Works well for me on my 99 Gp and I am a woman. I learned this from a retired military shade tree mechanic. Hope this helps. Bev

Resetting 1998 honda civic remote control

ok here is the porcedure that i have for it

Remember , these steps must be preformed within 5 seconds of eachother also all doors should be closed, radio and lights turned off

im not sure what you mean by a bypass, you can always just not use the remotes and go into the body control computer and turn off keyless entry

1) Unlock Doors
2) Turn ignition key to "ON" position (II)
3) Press the "LOCK" or "UNLOCK" button on the remote
4) Turn the ignition key to the "OFF" position (0, I)
5) Turn the ignition key to the "ON" position
6) Press lock or unlock
7) Turn key to off position
8) on position
9) lock or unlock
10) off position
11) on position
12)lock or unlock - doors should cycle to indicate successful programming. If you only have one remote, turn ignition to off or don't touch anything. if you have 2+ remotes, go to 13:
13) lock on each transmitter that you need to program

*Steps 2-12 must be performed within 5 seconds of each other. Step 13 can be performed within 10 seconds of step 12.
