GM has had issues with fuel level sensors (in the tank) and instrument clusters. Are the rest of your gauges working correctly? If so then you will need to install a level sensor. Good Luck

It is inside the fuel tank. If you have knoledge about the removal of the tank then you can do it. It is really not a hard job to do, and most shops will charge about three hours to do it. It is really best if you have shop equiptment too, air tools and jacks. Good Luck

My fuel gage shows empty with the light on all the time and i just replaced the fuel pump with a brand new one and it still shows empty with the light on. What could be the problem now?

Check out the fuel level sensor, and or the guage itself. These guages do tend to out, can replace the little stepper motor on the back of it for cheap.

2005 Trailblazer Ext: how doi fix a gas gauge on my chevy trailblazer 20...

Common problem on the 03-06 Trailblazer instrument clusters for the fuel gauge to go out. It's usually caused by one of two main problems, either the stepper motor on the cluster's circuit board is going out or the sending unit on the fuel pump is going out. Check out this blog post about the problem - Trailblazer fuel gauge problems

Fuel gauge is erratic. When tank is full, it reads empty. Eventually it settles in to more accurate reading?????

the problem is with your fuel level sensor. it is in the tank and at certain spot it loses its signal so you read empty. only fix is to replace the sensor.

This problem is caused by a defective fuel gauge sending unit, it is located in the gas tank.

Problem with gas hand staying on empty

Suspect faulty fuel level sender. The powertrain control module (PCM) monitors the signal circuit of the fuel level sender in order to determine fuel level.

I is more than likely a poor connection at the sender or on the back of the gauge. The ground is still good as the alarm is working.

I have 2005 chevy trailblazer heater wont work,

Sounds like your water pump is going out or your thermostat is stuck. Check the thermostat first and make sure it is not frozen in the clsed position.

Buying survey

The only thing that I found wrong with my Trailblazer was the the fuel level sensor, which went bad at about 12000 miles. It was covered under warranty. Other than that I would say that anyone else would possibly complain about the fan noise, but I believe it is normal.
