Question about 2000 Peugeot 306
Having fitted a new stereo in the car, this worked fine but the amp I added was powered up all the time so I put an inline switch to turn on and off when required. Whilst wiring the switch (3 pin tilt switch with 1 earth, 2 live for light) I heard what sounded like a fuse blowing somewhere in the dash. I have checked all the fuses and these are OK, even the ones under the bonnet, stereo fuse is OK, first the stereo started working only when the indicator lights were flashing, now the hazards work but indicators don't and the central locking also does not work along with the stereo not working, any suggestions as to what has blown and where to find it.?

Found a blown 5A fuse in the fusebox under the right side of the steering wheel (near driver-side door). Replaced this, and all symptoms appear to have gone... question is, what caused the fuse to blow in the first place?

Check the fob battery because if the battery has gone then you can't immobilise the car immobiliser which in turn doesn't let you start the engine however it cranking. open the bonnet and remove the clips of car battery for a good 15-20 minutes and put them back and check your remote key and try to start your car. If nothing happens then let your car diagnosed by a experienced mechanic who is able to read out the ecu codes.

there are three likely problems.... check the battery of the vehicle if the battery is still ok, or the alternator is not supplying the right power and finally the fuse box has some burnt part in it internally...
