Question about 2005 Chrysler Pacifica
Any video's or graphs
Shouldn't need a video or pictures. Perhaps the simplest thing (besides a battery) to replace if you have a basic socket set.
1. Release the belt tensioner using your 3/8" breaker bar or socket wrench by inserting the male end of your socket wrench into the free spinning side of the tensioner. There is a square hole that fits the square part of your wrench perfectly. Lift the tensioner as far as possible and slide the belt off the alternator, then gently release the tensioner back to past where it was sitting. Disconnect the electrical connector(s) from your alternator, and remove the mounting bolt(s). And ouila! Done. Install is in reverse order. Just curious, are you SURE you need a new alternator? Autozone (or similar) can test yours while in the vehicle. Just FYI. Good luck.
PS - I am sure there are some videos on Youtube, but really it should be a very simple task unless the highminded engineers at Chrysler decided to reinvent the wheel and do it completely different from almost all other manufacturers for the past 70 years.
