First, do as others have suggested and be sure the distributor is turning. If not, check that the distributor is seated properly and the tabs at the base go into the slot on the end of the camshaft. After that, I suggest checking the ground wires, especially the ones for the intake and head to the chassis. Check fuses, relays and all electrical connections to along the engine wiring harness.

SOURCE: NO FIRE TO PLUGS

If the timing belt is broken, the distributor will not turn. Make sure the rotor is turning when the engine is cranking.

SOURCE: my car isn't firing. I changed my ignition coil,

Without looking at the diagram on our model Is suspect the pickup in the distributor has gone bad. In the early type distributors the pickups are prone to go bad but ground the wire from the coil to the cap and remove the cap, have a friend turn the engine over with the starter for a few seconds, check that the rotor button is turning !

How can I find out if my fuel injector is bad in my 2004 trail blazer

If cylinder 2 is not firing first check for good compression on that cylinder. If compression is good try swapping coils from say #3 and the #2 cylinders. If #3 now don't fire and #2 does it is a bad coil. If it don't change then chances are the injector is bad. You can also swap injectors the same way.

I have a 1991 Z 28 Camaro that will not start?

I take that it does crank over? If this is the case you need to determine where the problem is, are you getting fire to the spark plugs? or is fuel not getting to the engine. If you know you have fuel pressure to the fuel rail, and the pump is running when you are trying to crank the engine, make sure that the injectors are spraying fuel into the engine. If you have verified that you do have fuel and it is getting into the engine, make sure you have spark to the plugs. It could be the pickup in the bottom of the distributor, this is what fires the coil and meters the injectors.

99 pontiac grand prix that is still mis firing even after we changed plugs and wires, not sure what to do now please help

Misfires can be caused by several things including all the parts you have already replaced as well as faulty ignition coils, faulty injectors, vacuum leaks and engine mechanical problems such as low compression.
With the proper equipment, injector operation can be verified by performing injector balance tests, where the operation of the injectors in the misfiring cylinders is compared to the other cylinders that are not misfiring.
Also, engine mechanical failures such as bad piston rings or leaking/burnt valves can be diagnosed with a simple compression test.
An easy (and very inexpensive ) way to verify ignition coil operation is to swap the coil from the misfiring cylinder(s) with the coil(s) from the cylinder(s) that is(are) not misfiring. Then clear the fault codes and drive the vehicle. If the same cylinders are still misfiring, the coil is not the problem. If the misfire moves to the cylinder that you swapped with - replace the coil.
Sometimes, injectors can also be tested this way, but on most GM V-6 or V-8 engines, this is not practical due to the labor involved in "swapping" injectors.

Egine Code says miss fire block 1. What are we talking about?

I think it means that the number one cylinder is misfiring, which could be spark plug, coil, the plug wire, or the injector. Usually, if the injector is at fault it will have a code for that. Take the spark plug out and check the condition of the plug. If the plug seems alright, swap it with the number 2 spark plug and clear the trouble codes. If the plug was at fault, the computer should throw a code for cylinder 2, if it still throws a code for cylinder 1, then it may be the coil, If the engine has a distributor, change the distributor cap and rotor.

You are mis fireing on cyl 1 and 3 if you replaced plugs and wires and coil this is going to be a fuel injector issue or valve issue. See if you can swap the injectors with known good cyl. and see if it changes. Or have a shop do a fuel injector service on it to see if it helps. It may be to late for the fuel injector service.

No fire from coil to #1 cylinder

Ok since you did all that if you want to swap around fuel injectors taking note where you put cylinder 1 injector. Lets say you swapped it with cylinder 4 . Now if you get a different code say P0304 which is for cylinder 4 misfire then you know it is your injector at fault. These are wear items and should be replaced every 100,000 miles.
Also i would suggest if you dont want to do that is get some good high octane gas when you are completely empty and fill to 1/4 tank now put in Lucas Oil fuel injector cleaner and run the car till empty. Now fill up tank with high octane gas in see if this helps. Clear code after your second tank of gas and see if the code comes back. if code does pop back up then i would do the swapping of injectors as i stated earlier. I hope this helps and good luck with the diagnosis.
