It sounds like the throttle position sensor, idle air control solenoid, or the mass air flow sensor. all three could cause this. a good scan tool will help you figure out which. Most auto parts places will test it for free

What makes a 1995 Turbo Diesel GMC Yukon accelerates on it own?

There should be a control unit on top of the engine that controls this to keep the engine at a certain temp which runs off the engine block temp sensore. I would try changing the sensors first located on the drivers side front of cylinder head and in the goose neck on top for one of the thermostats.It wouldn't be a bade idea to change the thermostats too at the same time.

2001 gmc yukon engine revs up at 20 mph changed trans filter (screen) still have same problem

If you mean it "flares" trans may have major issues. If you mean it fails to shift to next gear, likely bad shift solenoid, easily changed by dropping trans pan.

The heater on my 1998 Yukon does not work unless I rev the engine up or I drive it. When I come to a stop light it will quit blowing hot air.

Sounds like the cooling system is low and has air pockets. The rear system problem could be something electrical.

Gmc idles rough in cold weather

Check the coolant temp. sensor (It controls warm up RPM, open loop ECU mode) And change the fuel filter every 20,000 miles to prevent water in filter from freezing ( fuel starvation).

Service airbag message is diplayed. Red airbag light on speedo is illuminated. 2007 gmc yukon

{: ) That's a double warning reminder already from your cluster, which means that some of the airbag features in your vehicle may not work properly in the event of accident or crash. Better have it checked by a scan tool to determine what particular component in the airbag system is causing it.

(2002 yukon 90,000 miles) low power, service engine lights jus came on all of a sudden,engine won't rev very weak,whats going on, anyone know? jordon

Hello;
There are several things to check. The first is to pull the codes. Then the diagnostics can be far mopre accurate. Could be the fuel pump, filter, clogged cat convertor, or a number of other things.
Thanks;
