Hi Edward, if you are only changing the drivers seat with a new one, here's how its done. You'll need to move the seat reward all the way, then remove the 2 bolts holding the seat to the floor, then move the seat all the way forward and remove the 2 bolts holding the seat to the floor. NEXT, tilt the seat up and unplug all connectors that run from the floor to the seat. Thats it, reinstall your new seat in reverse procedure. Hope this helps, have an awesome day Edward.

Think its collapsed ,it will need removing and new foam and the metal springsunder the seat repairing ,the last owner may have eaten too much junk food and put on weight as this is normal sort of thing that causes the seat to collapse

Removing a driver seat of a 1998 Buick Century

Usually the seat is bolted to the floor in the back. Slide seat all the way forward, look for 2 15mm bolts. take out bolts, tilt seat up, disconnect wires, then slide seat back out of front slots.

Removing rear seat on 2004 Trailblazer to get to the fuse box?

3dbcee3d-0f5c-41c3-bbbc-ac7ea0dfc9ab.jpgThe "rear" fuse box/panel isn't below or under the back or rear seat. It's basically located behind kind of underneath the drivers front seat. Just remove that cover in the picture to expose the fuse panel.

I saw your post about removing the back seat of a 2000 buick lasabre and it wont budge any suggestions

All you have to do is pull up on the front part of the bottom part of the seat to remove it.It should have a snap on the drivers side and one on the passengers side. The back part does not come of without removing the nuts on the bottom. The battery is under the rear seat. That is why they made it easy to remove the rear seat bottom.Hope this helps.Good luck.

I guess Its a issue they need to recall I have a 02 intrigue drivers seat heater does the same thing turns off almost immediately after turning it on and today my rear drivers side windows decided it was...

The heater element in the seat has an open circuit. I had this identical problem with myAurora. I replaced the the bottom element with a after market seat heater. I had to rewire by connecting a ground wire and 12volt supply (from disconnected plug connector under seat) The element in the seat back was okay. I switched the plug connector so it was compatible with the new element. I was able to remove the seat cover (leather) from the front and right side enough to be able to replace the seat element without removing the seat from the car. Unfortunately the new switch is round and not compatible with original switch , but I now have a restored heated seat for $65.00 and 3 hours of my time.

Drivers seat broke loose need to remove to fix

hello there:
for removal of the front seat you will have four bolt that go threw the floor board they will be under the carpet and more than likely will take a large tourq driver to get them out you may also have electrical connection under the seat if you electric seats so make sure you unplug the wire before removing the seat this will give you access to the part that needs to be replaced the bolt should be able to found by lifting the carpet right at the seat mounts in the front and the rear should be visible hope this helps you out sincerely D.Jones

Drivers seat will not go up or down

I think you will have less problems with removing the entire seat, just be careful with the wires, unhook wire harness first.

Not sure how heavy this seat is, and make sure you properly torgue everything down when you re-install for safety in a collision.
