Question about Audi Cars & Trucks
Audi q7 does not unlock with the remote. Key does not spin in the lock.
Open the hood and find little red plastic cap. This is battery connection (since battery is hidden under one of the seat inside the car). Connect battery charger for 12 hours or try with jump cables.

- Buy a CR2032 3V battery
- Pry open the battery cover on the remote using a flat head screw driver or a table knife. The pivot point is the chain ring holder opposite to the key.
- Replace battery

SOURCE: WHERE IS THE NEGATIVE BATTERY
When jump starting this vehicle make sure that the Q7 is connected first, then connect to the jumper vehicle.
Connect 1 lead to the positive on the Q7 and the negative to a good solid body part or engine part. This will then ensure that the vehicle will start on the jumper vehicles battery directly without going through the Q7 flat battery causing the electronics to strain.
Hope this helped.

SOURCE: Hello my 2009 Audi q7
Try getting some graphite and putting it in the door lock. If it unlock with the remore it has to be the key mechanism and not the lock mechanism. If you don't have graphite, then use some lithium grease or as a last choice WD-40 and work the lock, gentley back and forth. This should free up the tumblers, JUST DON'T TRY TO FORCE IT.
If that doesn't work then you will need to replace the lock with one that is keyed for your car.
